When I saw the Kia EV9 GT-Line for the first time, I knew immediately that this would not be a car that simply blends into the crowd. From the very first glance, it feels different. It has a distinctive design, an interesting body style, beautifully refined details, and exactly the kind of charisma that leaves an impression on you even before you take a seat inside.

After four months of living with it, however, I can say that the Kia EV9 GT-Line is not only visually striking. It won me over mainly by how well it works in everyday life. And in my view, that is exactly what matters most.

Personally, I like that combination very much, because the car never feels nervous or excessively harsh. On the contrary, it creates a feeling of safety, control, and calm.

In the city, I was surprised by how comfortably the car fits into everyday use. Other drivers naturally keep their distance from it, which in itself adds to the overall sense of comfort. In addition, despite its nearly three-ton weight, the steering is excellently assisted, and while driving, you truly do not feel as though you are sitting in such a large vehicle.

On country roads, the car feels composed and stable, while on the motorway it feels very self-assured. I also appreciate the low aerodynamic noise, which is genuinely noticeable at higher speeds. As a result, even longer journeys are very pleasant, and passengers do not become tired as quickly as they might in some other vehicles.

Size as a topic? Yes. A problem? Not really.

If I were to mention one thing that some people might initially see as a disadvantage, it would be the size of the car. The Kia EV9 GT-Line is large. That is simply a fact. And especially at first glance, it may seem like the kind of vehicle not everyone would feel confident getting into.

But this is where a very pleasant surprise appears. Once you become more familiar with the car, you realise that its size is more of a visual topic than a real problem. Thanks to the excellent visibility, light steering, well-thought-out driver assistance systems, and overall awareness around the vehicle, the EV9 actually feels far more approachable than one might expect.

And yes, I do believe this is a car for a woman who does not normally drive large SUVs. Precisely because of its comfort, good ergonomics, and the sense of confidence it provides.

Technology that is not there just for show

What I also appreciate about the Kia EV9 GT-Line is that its technology does not feel self-serving. This is not a car trying to impress purely by the number of features it offers. On the contrary, it provides equipment that has real meaning in everyday life.

For example, the camera in the rear-view mirror is very practical and significantly helps with orientation. The automatic parking function is also excellent, and in a vehicle of this size it makes tremendous sense. And then there are details that you come to appreciate gradually — such as the overall thoughtfulness of the interior, comfort features, or the high level of equipment that makes you feel as though you are driving a genuinely modern upper-class vehicle.

A particularly interesting feature is bidirectional charging, meaning that the car can not only receive energy but also supply it outward. This is practical, for example, when travelling, on trips, or in situations where you need to power external devices. It is precisely features like these that show a modern electric car can be not only stylish, but also a very intelligent and practical companion.

Electric mobility that makes sense in practice

When it comes to an electric car, one essential question always matters to me: how does it work in real life? Not on paper, not in a brochure, but truly every single day. And this is exactly where the Kia EV9 GT-Line positively convinced me.

We charge the car from solar power, so for most of the year its operation is essentially free. That gives the whole experience an entirely new dimension. When I add the low servicing costs and the fact that it has been trouble-free so far, it results in a car that is not only beautiful and comfortable, but also very sensible.

I also rate the charging experience on longer journeys very positively. Thanks to fast charging, stops do not take unnecessarily long, and you never feel that the electric car limits you in any way. On the contrary — in mixed everyday use, consumption remains at a very reasonable level, and a real-world range of around 400 kilometres is entirely sufficient for how we use it. Even a longer journey, for example to Hungary, therefore takes place without stress and without unnecessary compromises.

A car for family life, travel, and representation

What I also like about the Kia EV9 GT-Line is that it cannot be placed into just one role. It is not only a family car. It is not just a stylish electric car for the city. Nor is it only a representative vehicle for business. It is all of these things at once.

It can be a comfortable companion for everyday life, an excellent car for road trips, a safe and spacious vehicle for a family, and also an elegant choice for someone who wants a car with character and individuality. And that, in my opinion, is where its strength lies.

It is a vehicle for people who want something more than simply getting from one place to another. For those who appreciate style, comfort, and technology, while at the same time expecting the car to be practical as well.

After several months of use, I can say that the Kia EV9 GT-Line has met my expectations in every respect. It impressed me with its appearance, convinced me with its comfort, and won me over by how well it performs in everyday life.

It is a car that feels luxurious, but not distant. It is modern, yet at the same time very human in the way it is used. It is large, but not inaccessible. And above all — it is a vehicle in which I feel good as a woman who values travel, style, comfort, and practicality.

To me, the Kia EV9 GT-Line is not just an interesting electric car. It is a car that knows how to make an impression, while at the same time proving every day that its value lies not only in its design, but also in the feeling it gives you both behind the wheel and beyond it.
